Lakeside Launches New Women’s Intensive Outpatient Program at The Oaks of Lakeside

Lakeside Behavioral Health System will be launching a new Women’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) starting January 11, 2021 at our East Memphis office.

Multiple outlets have reported on the impacts the pandemic has had on women specifically. In fact, women are leaving the workforce four times the rate as men. A lot of the household responsibilities have fallen primarily on women, which includes childcare and ensuring children are attending virtual schooling platforms. The women who are lucky enough to keep their jobs, at times are working from home and juggling all of these responsibilities as many options for childcare are limited. This has led to high levels of stress. According to research by Finn Partners, women are bearing the most of this emotional burden. Their research indicates that 56% of women are experiencing higher anxiety, a third have experienced sadness, and almost 30% have expressed fear due to the pandemic.

We want to help! We have designed an intensive outpatient program specifically for women. This group (New Year, New You!) starts in January. The group will be led by licensed clinicians at The Oaks of Lakeside located in beautiful East Memphis, 1083 W. Rex Rd. For more information, call 901-355-0381. The flyer can be found here.
