A mental health or substance use disorder doesn’t have to control your life. At Lakeside Behavioral Health System, we help you see a future beyond these challenges. Our outpatient services offer in-depth, individualized care for those who don’t require 24-hour inpatient care. Full-day and half-day programs help you learn skills for long-term growth and healing.

Our Outpatient Treatment Programs

We offer two types of outpatient treatment programs — partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment — at multiple locations in West Tennessee. These full- and half-day programs allow you to receive help for psychiatric and addictive issues while balancing work, family, school and community obligations.

What Is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)?

Our partial hospitalization programs are highly structured, full-day programs at our main campus in Memphis. PHPs include programming seven days a week and are available for mental health disorders, substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. PHP may be the next step down from acute inpatient treatment (detox or stabilization) or residential treatment. Learn more about PHP.

What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

Intensive outpatient treatment involves half-day programming for three to five days each week. IOP is the least restrictive level of care. You may step down to IOP after PHP, or we may recommend you start in IOP if you don’t require more intensive treatment. We offer IOPs at our main campus in Memphis and our two satellite locations in Tennessee. Learn more about IOP.
