Inpatient and Outpatient Addiction Treatment: Why Choose Us?
We have been helping people in Memphis and the surrounding communities manage and treat substance use disorders for decades. At The Landing Addiction Services, we tailor therapy to your needs to promote healing and long-term recovery. We are here 24/7 to provide no-cost assessments and prompt treatment.
Our drug and alcohol treatment programs offer:
- Several levels of care: Lakeside offers acute inpatient care (detox), residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We select the level of care that’s right for you and facilitate seamless transitions from inpatient to outpatient care.
- Accredited center: We are a state-licensed and Medicare-certified substance use recovery center. We are also accredited by The Joint Commission®, which means we maintain the highest quality and safety standards when providing your care.
- Focus on co-occurring disorders: Many people with substance use disorders also have mental health issues that can complicate their recovery. At Lakeside, we treat co-occurring disorders, such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder, simultaneously to help you achieve lasting results.
- Skilled providers: Nurses, licensed therapists, and a double board-certified psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist guide your care. You also receive counseling from state-certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists who have been through their own recovery journeys.
Substance Use Disorders We Treat

We treat a wide range of substance use disorders, including addiction to:
- Alcohol

- Cocaine
- Heroin
- Meth
- Opioids
- Prescription drugs
Our Treatments for Substance Use Disorders
Addiction treatment at Lakeside is highly individualized. During your initial assessment, we evaluate your needs and select the program most suited to your recovery goals.
During treatment, we draw on a wide range of evidence-based therapies to deliver whole-person care. Licensed therapists guide you through the in-depth work of uncovering the root cause of your disorder, such as trauma, extreme stress or underlying mental health issues.
Our treatments include:
- Detoxification: We offer 24/7 medically assisted detox to help you stop using addictive substances and cleanse your body of drugs or alcohol. Detox takes place in our inpatient unit with the support of a physician and other providers.
- Medication therapy: You may receive medication to reduce cravings, manage withdrawal symptoms or stabilize a co-occurring condition. Medication-assisted treatment helps you stay comfortable so you can focus on healing.
- Group therapy: Group therapy is at the core of inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment. Guided by a licensed therapist, small group meetings allow you to share experiences and bond with your peers in a nonjudgmental setting.
- 12-step approach: We use the peer-supported programs of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous to aid recovery. The 12-step philosophy is built on accountability, goal-setting and self-examination.
- Trauma-informed care: Past trauma, such as emotional or sexual abuse, is often at the root of substance use disorders. In our specialized trauma resolution track, trained therapists help you identify and move past trauma so it’s no longer a barrier to recovery.
- Peer Recovery Support Specialists: State-certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists share their stories, challenges and successes with substance use and mental health disorders. This approach helps others see that real change is possible.
