Our Mental and Behavioral Health Services for Military
Combat, multiple deployments, family separation and other stressors can affect your mental and emotional health in many ways. Our dedicated military unit means you receive care that’s tailored to your needs. We educate staff on military culture and sensitivities so you can recover in an empathetic, nonjudgmental environment.
Our mental health treatments for veterans and active-duty service members include:
- Crisis stabilization: We provide emergency stabilization and detoxification in the event of a psychiatric or substance use crisis. You receive around-the-clock care in our acute inpatient unit from physicians, nurses and mental health technicians.
- Medication management: You may receive medication (short-term or long-term) to manage the symptoms of a mental health condition or drug or alcohol withdrawal. We combine medication with psychotherapy and other treatments to help you achieve a successful outcome.
- Group therapy: Group counseling sessions, led by a licensed therapist, establish trust and camaraderie. Patients share their experiences in a nonthreatening environment, learn coping skills and build resiliency.
- Trauma-informed care: We help you understand how trauma, such as combat, violence or sexual assault, affects your daily life and emotional health. Our specialized trauma resolution track focuses on preventing re-traumatization, easing PTSD symptoms and helping you heal.
