Behavioral Health and Addiction Services for Working Professionals

Lakeside opened The Oaks of Lakeside in East Memphis in the Fall of 2020 and The Oaks of Lakeside in Jackson in the Summer of 2023. Both locations provide a treatment program for working professionals in the West Tennessee area. The Oaks works to address behavioral health and addiction issues to help each person live their fullest life.

Women’s Intensive Outpatient Program at The Oaks of Lakeside

The Oaks of Lakeside hosts a Women’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (EOP) serving women who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health concerns.

Multiple outlets have reported on the impacts the pandemic has had on women specifically. In fact, women are leaving the workforce four times the rate as men. A lot of the household responsibilities have fallen primarily on women, which includes childcare and ensuring children are attending virtual schooling platforms. The women who are lucky enough to keep their jobs, at times, are working from home and juggling all of these responsibilities as many options for childcare are limited. This has led to high levels of stress. According to research by Finn Partners, women are bearing most of this emotional burden. Their research indicates that 56% of women are experiencing higher anxiety, a third have experienced sadness, and almost 30% have expressed fear due to the pandemic.

We want to help! The group will be led by licensed clinicians at The Oaks of Lakeside and can help women throughout the West Tennessee region, call 901-355-0381 for more information.

First Responders Program at The Oaks of Lakeside

Due to the traumatic nature of their work, first responders, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and emergency medical technicians, are routinely exposed to distressing and life-threatening situations. Such experiences can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, depression, and even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). By prioritizing their mental health, we can help mitigate these risks, ensuring that they are better equipped to handle the psychological demands of their job.

Lakeside offers programming specific to first responders’ challenges in inpatient and outpatient options. We provide a supportive environment that can lead to a more engaged and satisfied workforce, reducing burnout and turnover rates. In essence, by recognizing and addressing the mental health needs of first responders, we honor their dedication and sacrifices and ensure the ongoing effectiveness and sustainability of our emergency response systems.
