Patriot Support Program
You’ve served us. Now let us serve you.
Patriot Support Program was born out of a great need: to support the U.S. Department of Defense and Veterans Administration. The strain of multiple deployments and separations has worn greatly on the bodies, minds and spirits of service members, veterans, and their families. It is not uncommon for active-duty service members and veterans to struggle with depression, post-traumatic stress (PTS), addiction or other behavioral health issues. The team at Lakeside Behavioral Health System have spent the last several years expanding the locations and resources dedicated to military-specific behavioral health services. We continue to educate staff on military culture and sensitivities to improve on consistent treatment with integrity and positive outcomes. We provide support for all Branches of the Military Services, their families, and our Veterans.
Through the Compact Act of 2020, any military member – whether enrolled in VA or not – can go to a VA or non-VA emergency room for emergent suicidal care. The VA will provide the treatment or cover the costs for treatment including transportation, inpatient or crisis residential care for up to 30 days, and outpatient care for up to 90 days. We work with the VA to provide mental health solutions to those in need.
