Strive for Five Program

Lakeside strives to provide superior healthcare services to all those we come in contact with on a daily basis. To this end, Lakeside’s “Strive for Five” program is an initiative to promote dialogue between staff and patients, family members, referral sources and fellow employees. “Strive for Five” posters similar to the image below are placed throughout our 37-acre campus, along with individual buttons that staff wear visibly to promote this dialogue.

Patient Testimonials

“I came into the hospital and was admitted to the West unit. My intention was for my doctor to prescribe subutex to me and leave the facility in 5 to 6 days. While on the West unit, I was approached by staff that suggested an abstinence based CD program might be a good option for me. I was initially resistant to this idea and irritated by the suggestion. Then it occurred to me that my doctor and therapist might see something in me that I could not, and I decided to give it a try. I have been very impressed with the Landing Addiction Services program, and I have decided that an abstinence based program is the right choice for me. I am now committed to staying for the 28-day continuum of care and feel that this program has been a real gift in my life. I believe that I can live without mood altering chemicals.”Former Patient

“I have struggled with depression and chemical dependency for over 30 years. I can actually rate treatment centers because I have been in 5 different ones in 4 different states during this time. I must tell you that the Landing Addiction Services is the best program I have seen, and I love that almost all the staff that I have interacted with is in CD recovery. This really makes a difference in the program in my opinion, and they are all very knowledgeable about recovery as well. I am really glad that I am here.”Former Patient
